THIS GUY!!!
So Wednesday was an awesome day! Spent it all in NYC with Jessica Lasorsa! I believe we ended up with one-too-many snacks to bring back home, but that's fine. But screw GPS's because we were brought to the 252 40th St. on the wrong side of the Brooklyn Bridge (But hey: at least we drove on it as part of the experience). Disney's "Aladdin - The Musical" was pretty frickin' sweet!!! Even if it seeme...d like everyone seemed to jump on each other's lines a bit too much, and we may have missed the first number due to GPS problems, the entire show was amazing and incredible to see! The set pieces were fun and enchanting and all of the costumes were shiny and fabulous! There were so many more illusions, tricks, pyrotechnics, and streamers than I was expecting (those streamers shot out from right under our Box Seats during "Prince Ali"!) and the Magic Carpet during "A Whole New World" was mind boggling (I found the secret to it during the finale, but I'm not saying anything except that it's got no strings). Personally, my favorite numbers was the show-stopping-let's-put-everything-in-one-number "Friend Like Me", the highly energetic "Babkak, Omar, Aladdin, Kassim", and the comedic fight song "High Adventure" (which was a mix of the duel in the film "The Court Jester" with Mel Brook's touch, which made it even better than I was hoping!). Speaking of which, it was absolutely wonderful to see what Babkak, Omar, and Kassim were going to be like. According to the showbill, most of Howard Ashman's ideas (minus a few songs and Aladdin's Mother) had completely returned to the stage, which means we were seeing what the trio of thieves were going to be like if they were not replaced by Abu the Monkey. As for our showbills, we hung out by the backstage/cast door and got sooo many autographs on it, but sadly and quite disappointingly no Jonathan Freeman because he apparently doesn't leave the theater between the matinees and the night shows. Whatever, I still had a wonderful conversation with the actor Brandon O'Neil, who played Kassim, about our love for the trio and how all we want are their original concept arts as well as a selfie with James Monroe Iglehart, who was the Genie (expect that to be my cover photo as soon as Jess posts it up on Facebook). After that, we had McDonalds for Lupper, stopped by the Disney Store for Aladdin shirts and the Toys-R-Us store for fun and a Ferris Wheel ride on the Toy Story seats. Overall, minus the problems on the road, Yesterday is arguably the best day of my life so far and probably will be for a long time.

Outside of that, I am still going to try out for AngelsAscendded-OCT. There is another OCT I'm a part of that has recently been very active and I'll tell you more about it when we have a plot and stuff.

And that's it! See you guys soon!
