Lady Waltham vs Sher Khan: Jungle Revenge!

MOUNT KILIMANJARO BASECAMP

For a month, Lady Waltham had grieved over the news of her brother's death at the hands of Sher Khan. McLeach had even come from his travels to make sure she was alright.
But Waltham wasn't alright. She wanted to get revenge on the tiger.
So she asked McLeach for a ship to the jungles of India. He was shocked to hear this, however he accepted when she said that the money would be his.
After a few weeks of sailing, they finally reached India. Waltham, along with McLeach and her butler, Hobson, stood on the dock. A contact suddenly came up to them.
"Sher Khan was found around the forbidden temples not too far north of here. You can find his home in those ruins."
"Thank you," Waltham said. "I'll take it from here."
"Are you sure you'll be fine without us?" McLeach asked.
"I'm certain. Thank you for what you've done so far, Percival. Without you, I wouldn't be here."
"You're welcome," McLeach said. "Anything to help a friend."
Waltham smiled and turned to Hobson.
"If I fall, make sure that you avenge me."
"If you need anything," said Hobson, "call."
Lady Waltham smiled at him, and then left the two to deal with Sher Khan alone.

INDIAN JUNGLE

Sher Khan continued to prowl around the jungle. He had been thinking about his encounter with Clayton, and the warning Sabor had given him.
This war has gotten too close for comfort for us animals, he though. Scar's dead. Lockjaw has gone into hiding. Even Kaa's had to hide from that McLeach fellow. What will happen next?
"Hello, Sher Khan."
He turned and saw a female explorer. And she seemed to match Sabor's description.
"Waltham?" Sher Khan asked in disbelief. "Clayton's sister?"
"Yes," said Waltham. "How did you know my name?"
"I was told by a friend that you might come around," Sher Khan explained. "I won't say who, however."
"Alright," Waltham said. "Then you wouldn't mind if I challenged you?"
"Why of course not," Sher Khan laughed. "I understand your predicament, so I welcome it."
"Really," Waltham said.
"Why yes. And I'll even make it easier for you to live longer. I'll close my eyes and count to ten. It will allow you to get a head start and make the chase more interesting…for me."
He turned away and closed his eyes, confident that she would accept.
"One, two, three – OW!!"
From behind him, Waltham had taken a poisonous dart and shot it at him.
"That's for Clayton."
He turned in anger.
"I'm done counting. You're going down now!"
He pounced. Waltham gasped and ran. Sher Khan chased after her.
And in the shadows of the jungle, another villain chased after them, waiting to see the outcome.

Waltham wasn't ready for this. Sher Khan was on her heals, and her only defense for the meantime was her bag.
Why hasn't the poison kicked in yet, she wondered. He shouldn't be alive right now!
She looked ahead. There was a small gap between her and a ledge on the other side. She realized that making that jump was her only chance of surviving. She jumped for it –
And she made it.
"Try to get me now," she taunted.
"With pleasure."
Sher Khan jumped, but as he jumped, the ledge below him fell. He barely caught onto the ledge with Waltham. She gasped as Sher Khan smiled.
"I've got you now."
But then, he felt woozy. And then he realized that he had lost his grip and he began to fall to a ledge far below. Waltham watched as she smiled.
"No, tiger," she said. "In the end, man triumphs over every other species."
She turned away, taking out a walkie-talkie from her pocket.
"Hobson, get our ship ready. I'm done here."

Sabor watched as Sher Khan fell. She couldn't believe it.
"I warned him," she growled to herself. "And even then, he underestimated her! Well, what else would I expect from my old flame?"
She took one last look at Sher Khan's body, and then left for the Pride Lands.
Maybe, Sabor thought, just maybe, I can get help from Zira…
